Affirmation for March 8, 2011: A Balance of Hope and Fear

Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society.  The optimist invents the airplane and the pessimist the parachute.- Gil SternThought of the day:Some subscribe to an outlook of positivity-- the optimists. And some think that being prepared for the worst is important-- the pessimists.
But as today's quote points out, it is important to have a balance of both. Don't be so pessimistic that your hopes dissolve into harsh reality; often a negative attitude is self-fulfilling. But don't be so optimistic that your head is in the clouds, with no real sense of where the ground is.A balance of optimism and pessimism provides for ambition and preparedness.Have a hope-filled day!TeamDS

An optimist says the glass is half full with water.
The pessimist claims the glass is half empty
The scientist knows , however, the glass is full - full of water and air, and that over pessimism and over optimism aren\'t logical states of mind.

When I wake up, the glass is full. Then people try to chug from it and empty it. So I give a little and try to avoid coming home from work with an empty glass but its not always that easy. I guess trying to find a way to wake up with a full glass everyday is a good start.
