Affirmation for March 29, 2010: Seneca

To wish to be well is a part of becoming well.
- Seneca, Roman philosopher, mid-1st century AD

Thought for today:

Don't underestimate the power of the mind. Mental strength has been shown to have real physical, physiological, psychological, and neurological effects on the body and can often be credited for that extra boost of energy, that second wind, and sometimes, that lingering of hope.

The reverse is true as well-- a negative attitude can often bring or exacerbate negative symptoms.

So go ahead and be the eternal optimist. It's good for your health!

Have a happy day!
