Colorectal cancer, or colon cancer, affects the large intestine or the rectum and is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in America. If diagnosed early, colon cancer can be completely cured. Starting at age 50, it is recommended that colorectal cancer screenings be done regularly.
