Affirmation for June 18, 2015: Lungs of our Land
Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.-Franklin D. Roosevelt
Thought of the day:
We all know that trees are beautiful and produce oxygen, but we have so many other reasons to be thankful for them. Trees also cool, clean, and restore our air, purify our soil and help control storm water runoff. They're a source of food and shelter for wildlife, and provide us humans with the perfect place for a strenuous climb or to sit and read a good book - the list goes on and on.
So go ahead, hug a tree today (or at least appreciate one) - they definitely deserve the love!

And when you have a nice forest of trees surrounding your house it provides shade, privacy, dust filter (important on a dirt road), and sound barrier. Not too mention the most beautiful view!
