Affirmation for July 20, 2011: Turn Off the TV

Television is a medium because anything well done is rare.- Fred Allen
Thought of the day:
Today we're poking a little fun at television. It's a great way to sit down and relax after a hard day of work, but excessive time in front of the tube is neither good for your brain nor your body.
If you find yourself bathed in the glow of the TV for more than 6 hours a week, try cutting down that time by diving into a new hobby, something that will improve your skills or your health. It is hard to tear ourselves away from addicting shows, but think about the things you could accomplish if you found yourself engrossed in something more interesting and productive! Not having the time to watch TV because you're too busy rehearsing for a play, working on a painting, achieving a fitness goal, or spending quality family time outdoors is a good thing!
Have an active day!

Hello TeamDS,

I amazed with the information that was provided about television because I am not a big television person. I hardly ever watch television. Maybe 5 to 6 hours out of the week I look a television. I\'m always busy doing other things and so much other stuff in my life occupies my time. I never keep up with the current shows, movies or channels due to my hobbies, schooling, working, traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends and other recreational things. I feel good that it\'s not a bad thing. However, I do watch the news everyday and keep up with politics and other important things that one should know about the world today.
