Affirmation for January 13, 2012: Personal Achievement

Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successfull personality and duplicate it.Bruce Lee
Thought of the Day:
As we begin our new "get fit" plans for the year, we look to fitness magazines, television programs, and the Internet for inspiration. We look at those perfect bodies and then look at ours. We say we can have that Mario Lopez 8-pack and those Michelle Obama arms. We push ourselves to be these clones of celebrities' bodies, and when we look in the mirror after weeks of working out to see those bodies aren't looking back at us, we lose courage.
Let's take a look again in the mirror. Did we make personal growth? Are we in better shape than we were last week? the week before? Sure, we might not become celebrity look-alikes, but we definitely are better versions of ourselves! Have faith in your own personal accomplishments and know that you don't need to be on this years "Top 40 Hottest Bods" to feel accomplished!
Good job!

Being seen as a celebrity look a like is highly over rated, even if it\'s not for the body. I\'m often told I look just like Dolly Pardon by the customers and my co-workers. Two years ago I dressed up like her for Halloween just for kicks, the shocked looks by customers were unbeleivable, I thought for sure I didn\'t look enough like her to be mistaken for her, it is a complement but I must say I would prefer to have my own look, I have not except for that Halloween ever attempted to look like her, and I thought I looked like myself.
