Affirmation for February 23, 2011: You Make A Difference
Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.- William JamesThought of the day:Do you ever feel like what you do doesn't matter? After all, you're just one person, and the problems of the world, not to mention your own problems, are just so big.
While that may be true, what is also true is that we can't possibly know all the wonderful things that can ripple out into the world from our smallest acts of good. Little things, like donating old clothes, may be warming the toes of a desperately cold child somewhere out there. Or donating canned goods to a local food drive. Volunteering at a hospital or a hospice center can mean the world to someone, just from the warmth of your presence. And even something as simple as giving someone a Hug on DailyStrength could make a difference in someone's day.
Everything you do matters, however big or small.TeamDS
