Affirmation for December 24, 2014: A Difference of Opinion
I never considered a difference of opinionin politics, in religion, in philosophy,as cause for withdrawing from a friend.- Thomas JeffersonThought of the day:Sometimes an opinion that is starkly different than your own can be hard to swallow. It's easy to jump right into trying to convince others to see things your way.
But the people and ideas behind those conflicting opinions can help you grow as an individual by challenging you to support your points of view with an articulated argument that they can understand.
Ultimately, friends that think differently than you do can be a great asset, not only for the sake of interesting conversation, but also because they help you develop more educated opinions of your own.
Have an opinionated day!

Very cool and VERY appropriate : )
I feel this way. But over my near 60 years I have found only about half the people I come in contact with can agree to disagree. About half the remaining half, or a quarter of the total are willing to agree to avoid the one subject you differ on. Those left that cannot tolerate someone having a difference of opinion do not stay in my social circle long. Very good food for thought.
Good share! Thanks for the inspiration! Have a wonderful holiday season!
