Affirmation for December 14, 2011: Face Adversity Head-on
One who gains strength by overcoming obstaclespossesses the only strength which can overcome adversity.- Albert Schweitzer
Thought of the day:
Adversity often comes into our lives to suggest that it’s time to change course, in one way or another. For instance, hard financial troubles can be terrifying and painful to go through, but they also tend to awaken us to our own bad habits, financially, and especially those things which are far more important than money and material possession: our health, our family and our friends. Maybe we need to re-think how we handle our finances – or maybe we need to reconsider the value we place on money and material possessions. Facing adversity head-on makes you consider these things, and it makes you take action.
Adversities are basically symptoms of larger problems, and we can use them as a roadmap to address those bigger issues which are truly hindering our lives.
Have a great day!
