Affirmation for August 9, 2011: The Power of Imagination

Imagination grows by exercise, and contrary to common belief, is more powerful in the mature than in the young. - W. Somerset Maugham
Thought of the Day:
As children, we used our imaginations to create a world where we were super heroes, astronauts, kittens, trees.. anything. We allowed these play times to mold our aspirations and dreams. How many times has some one asked us, "What did you want to be when you grew up?" How many of us achieved that dream? How many of us gave up?
Don't give up! Continue to dream. As we grow older it seems we can achieve more because we have more freedoms, more rights, and more education. Some how, while obtaining these, many of us have stopped imagining, playing make belief, playing the "what if...?" game.
Now that many of us are older, wiser, and better equipped, these dreams and games are closer to reality. Dream away today, think about "what if...?" and turn it into "when?"
:) Make Belief!

Thank you. I remember those days as a child and as of late realizing more so the roll it should play in my adult life. Finding this has given me a new approach to what was going to be an otherwise normal day. Good job folks.

So true, and yet very enlightening. I must go to my closet and retrieve my old dusty hat of (what if) and try it on again, and I shall see where my dreams will take me. Than you, so much for the inspiration!

Thank you just what I need today. Sometimes we forget, to dream and loose track. Thanks
