There is a time and a place for humour. Sometimes we try to throw it in to fix everything - even in heavy times. There are times when a solid mind and a heavy heart are more than appropriate and humour isn't.
But when it comes to the small things that are trivial and will hardly be an issue in a couple weeks' time, humour can lift our spirits and put the small things in perspective. A little laughter can go a long way.
So when appropriate, feel free to use humour to soften the blow. But don't feel obligated to be the "funny one" when the appropriate tone is one of seriousness.

a sense of humor can take your mind off of some of your troubles and pain. many of times people have used it for me to help me get thru things. of course there is a time for seriousness....but dont be too quick to stop the laughter. some people love to laugh. and i hope that is one thing people remember about me, when i\'m gone....is my laughter.
Sometimes how blackly humourous things are gets me through awful times too !

Knowing the right \"time\", can be tricky, but this is true wisdom. And true wisdom comes from God.
May we all sit at the foot of wisdom; may we all learn and be better at it.
It\'s an ongoing process; but it\'s doable.
I try to place humour in a lot that I do even though I never really know half of what I am saying. Haha. I strive to make others laugh or just gimme that puzzled look. I like that look. Makes me giggle. My little sister has master the art of humour.. she gets it from Dad..
