Affirmation for August 26, 2011: Strangers are No Strangers

He wanted them to meet as the completest of strangers — strangers-across-the-seas — all the more strangers because they knew each other already. He wanted them to meet far from their friends and relatives — in a place without a past, without history, free, really free, two people coming together with the utter freedom of strangers.- Amitav Ghosh
Thought of the Day:
It seems all of us were strangers to one another at one point and in that common feeling, we were able to establish a friendship and create the relationships that we have today. It's hard to believe at times, but people do share a common ground even in the idea of having no common ground at all. These similar feelings seem to tie us together and create an environment where getting along and being able to talk to each other becomes less and less intimidating.
Whether it's a person on the streets or a new neighbor, lend out a friendly hand. You never know, the two of you may become the best of friends.
Have a Great Day!
