Affirmation for August 18, 2010: Life's Hurdles
Life's problems wouldn't be called "hurdles" if there wasn't a way to get over them.- Author Unknown
Thought of the day:
Imagine a professional track and field hurdler. When you see this athlete, you may imagine blazing fast speed, gazelle-like legs, and graceful leaps over towering hurdles towards a finish line.
Now imagine this professional track and field hurdler during practice. Perhaps at a time before this athlete became a professional. You may see trips, falls, skinned knees, maybe even some face-plants. Doesn't look so graceful now...
But if you think about it, the hardships this athlete had to endure were mandatory steps to reach success. During practice, sometimes the athlete won, sometimes the hurdles won. But after the hard work, after the endurance, the perseverance, the pick-yourself-up-and-try-again mentality, in the end, the athlete won. With attitude like that, the athlete will always win.
Have an enduring day!

Good one!
then apparently, i am facing a hurdle the size of the empire state building right now D:
hard to see the finishing line from where I am just now but it\'s a hopeful thought to go with
I am tired of falling...when will I jump high enough?
\"\"I wanted a perfect ending. Now I\'ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don\'t rhyme, and some stories don\'t have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what\'s going to happen next.\" - Gilda Radner
