The theme this year is "Safety Is No Accident," reminding the public that it just takes a little bit of extra care to prevent unnecessary injury from careless accidents.According to the NPHW website, "nearly 150,000 people die from injuries, and almost 30 million people are injured seriously enough to go to the emergency room."Everything from keeping dangerous chemicals in secured places away from children in the household, to being vigilant about self-defense and safety in communities, to just being aware of surroundings while driving or during play.
