Affirmation for April 19, 2011: Taking Charge
When you take charge of your life, there is no longer need to ask permission of other people or society at large. When you ask permission, you give someone veto power over your life.- Geoffrey F. AbertThought of the day:Are you the kind of person that seeks permission, or demands to get what you want out of life? Taking charge is not just a personality trait-- it's a sign of how much you think you deserve happiness and the right to control your fate. You can begin to take back control of your life by first looking within, and examine how much you respect and cherish yourself. What are all the things you love about being you?Everyone has weaknesses, but by working on becoming a stronger person from within, and leveraging those strengths, you become the director of your own destiny.Have an empowered day!TeamDS

I can be very demanding. But I feel like I have to be. People think that I big bully. Thanks for this. Team DS have an emowered day to.
I need to take this to heart. Especially lately with everyone telling me what I have to do and what I can\'t do.
This is a good one.
I really liked this. Sometimes I feel like I\'m asking for permission and apologizing for even existing! I am so hard on myself for my tender and emotional nature. Learning to believe that I deserve happiness is paramount!
This is a really good thought. Playing somewhat-devil\'s-advocate, though, I think it\'s still important to make sure that you\'re respecting others\' opinions and beliefs along with asserting your own. It\'s good to not have to ask others\' permission, as long as you\'re respecting them at the same time.
