Advice
Okay so I have a question. My friend is with this girl. This girl isn't bad or anything. Clean, caring, loving and seems to be a wonderful person. She shows him love and affection. It seems to be a fairly decent relationship. The down fall is one of the two of them is having a hard time getting over their ex. One shows more affection for Their ex than the one they are with now. It's went on the whole time they've been seeing each other. The other shows all their love care and time 24/7 to The one that is having ex probs and really loves that person slot and cares for them more than I've seen them towards anyone our whole lives. It's mentally breaking him down seeing this and going through it. It's really causing issues with them as well.
I need help with advice or suggestions that I can set down and give them both that might help please

Take a HUGE step back.
Be there, listen, and keep your opinion to yourself. Provide options without names, locations, times, and details.
One person is on the fence in two relationships. Another person is providing support to the person on the fence. The third person is getting attention, support, encouragement, and still involved in daily living activities.
The person who is feeling the lack of connection in the relationship has to choose what they want most in that relationship. They are aware of the problem, and so they need to make changes that will improve their well-being.
Each of us is responsible for what we say, do, react, and respond. We are NOT responsible for what others say, do, react, and respond. When we change our response, it changes the conversation and choices and consequences are often unexpected and unintended. The usual responses no longer fit, so it often gets worse before it gets better.
Emotional affairs are just as harmful to relationships.
Being there, supporting without judging is the best gift you can give yourself and your friendship. This situation will change due to circumstances bringing about events that force the choice to be made in one direction or the other.
I agree, stepping back would be a good idea.
