Advice?
I have been hanging with a small group from mom's church. I have started looking at one of them in a different light. We went over to a house to watch movies. He explained what he felt about love and confided about his first true relationship. It was exactly how I feel about love and told him how my family predicted that I wouldn't date. I would find one man and just marrry without the stress of dating. I have only had one date in my 33 years, senior prom. Nowhere near the aisle yet. He sat down next to me and proceeded to say that this was a big group of friends and how uncomfortable some of them might be if some of us were dating. I wonder if he is leery about the fact he is a very active member of the church and I am a non-believer. I have been thinking I am not meeting him half way so I reconsidered reading the bible in a year (started Tuesday) and maybe attending church on Thursdays. Last night was a good sermon until the pastor made fun of scientists for trying to explain cloud and other weather phenomena. It is trully possible he was giving me the friend brush off. I wonder if we are even possible, we have no beliefs in common. He is very open and curious about other viewpoints too though. I am so lonely and he is the only man in a long time that has given me any attention. I am trying to be calm and let time take its course, and not get carried away. Still hoping, still hoping, still hoping.
