Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 - Improved Workflow and Editing Tools
When I first obtained Adobe Innovative Suite 4, Web Premium, involved was Adobe Bridge CS4. Based on Adobe, the product Bridge is "effective, easy-to-use press supervisor for visual persons, permitting you to quickly manage, browse, find and view creative assets." (source: Adobe web site) Therefore I free presets to use Connection to organize my (then) hundreds of photos.
I started stalling in Link, I could not record where every thing was. I was losing the work-flow battle. Then I heard about Photoshop Lightroom 2. Once more, according to Adobe "...Lightroom 2 is needed for the electronic photography work-flow required now. Today [a photographer] may rapidly transfer, process, control, and highlight your images--from one picture to an entire shoot."
Lightroom however, was an extra price stand alone program that price around $250 list. Effectively, I read the ads and the opinions and rapidly chose to join the Lightroom bandwagon. The problem is, do you really need Lightroom? In my mind Lightroom 2 is supposed to be a, but stand alone software for the significant photographer.
With Lightroom you are able to manage your photographs with catalogs and libraries in a more effective manner for large sizes of images. If you are firing in RAW structure equally Connection and Lightroom have the same RAW controls. A little know fact is that the "Build" module in Lightroom is identical to the RAW formatting controls in Bridge.
Lightroom's "Develop" element takes other image treatment much more than Bridge. While not as effective as Photoshop, I find that most of my photo modifying has become performed in Lightroom and I personally use Photoshop only for the truly large lifting. In some instances you could utilize Lightroom rather than Photoshop or you can even make do with Photoshop Things or number other photo modifying software.
With Adobe Bridge you can arrange your photos, you can draw (keyword)the photographs and videos. And Connection can study and write RAW files. With Lightroom 2 you are able to organize your pictures, keyword them, and you are able to import from many different models and write back out in multiple formats. Lightroom is fragile in the region of videos.
It's more powerful in its capability to "develop" or to modify and change a photograph. It edits in a non-destructive way that keeps the first format. Lightroom was created to complement the work-flow of a significant shooter that will have hundreds or tens of thousands of pictures to method or revise, even if it's for a simple plant and format to a printing size.
