Adjusting to the new me

It has been almost a year since my operation!
Although I still have a few aches and pains, my spine feels a lot more flexible. I can buy nice, fashionable clothes and I'm not bothered what people think of my scar (it's not that visible either). I now walk around showing off my back as I'm so proud of myself.
I'm happy I went through with the operation.
I have a few more hospital appointments just to see how I'm getting on and then I will be back to my old self - sporty, confident and bubbly. I am able to do some sports now but hopefully after a year I will be able to do a lot more.
