Adjust my Focus
The days shortly after Doctor gave the word that TX would end, something incredible happened. I'd like to first go back 6 months.
While reading an article on Recovery, I came upon a realization that I had been in search of meaning and purpose for most of my life. It wasn't until that moment, that I was able to recognize how much I longed to find this. I was not sure where to search for such valuable treasures. I began where I always seem to find the answers, in prayer. I learned that my purpose has always been a part of me. I recognize a longing, or a warm flame inside myself. That which brings tears to God's eyes, and my own. That which defines my makeup. That which God himself wove into my soul. What is it Lord? Who do you want me to be?
Those prayers continued through many months.
May 10,2011 proved to be a joyful day. I continue to pray and Thank Jesus for loving me, and not leaving me throughout this season of suffering. Once again I recieved a special gift. The answer to my many prayers.
I am now 46yrs.old. I will be in school doing all my Undergraduate Studies (four yrs.), in the Liberal Arts. I will then transfer to END WELL at Pittsburgh Theological Semenary (two yrs.)
~~~~Masters of Divinity/Social Work~~~~
I will be 52-53 upon completion. The reward for me is that God truly helped me to see how important it is to not settle for anything less than what you deserve. You have the potential to be whatever you decide to be.
Father I love you and I love people. All shapes, sizes, colors. THANK YOU.
