Adding Imuran and Rising CPK levels

Hmmmm.Where to start....Fot 6 weeks my CPKs have been gping from 2700 to about 3900 last week. I got turned down from my insurance for Retuxin so my Rheumy added Imuran to the MTX I am taking. Because it appears the Prednisone seems to no longer be quieting inflation, we are tapering the prednisone and hoping the Imuran kicks in. Problem is it takes 3 to 6 months to work. My Neuro is worried I will be back in the hospital if we can not stop the CPKs from climbing.  So he wants to do Ivig soon. I dropped off paperwork to inform him and the Rheumy about Acthar.  Still my function is improving. I am driving,mostly on crutches, hardly ever in a wheelchair, and not using any walking aids in the house. I am vacuming, and cooking. Not able to work at our store yet, but able to do some consulting. I have been hired by several doctors to write blogs for their websites about myositis, so it pays the co pays. That's fun! So life is better. Darn those CPKs!!!!
