Addiction
Hi,
my name is Jon I'm 26 years old and I'm addicted to sex/pornography. It has ruined my past relationships as well as my current one. Some days I feel as if I can conquer this addiction and other days it feels like there is no hope.

How has it affected your relationship?
My fiancé found out about my addiction and it has hurt her and it’s broken trust between us and it showed her that I am a liar. I need help, I want help. I wish there was a quick fix and I wish I could just stop and never think about it again but it’s like there is temptation everywhere
Realizing the problem is the first step, be proud of yourself for making it through that. If she is not willing to stand by your side through all this maybe you need to walk away from her.
Unfortunately there is no quick fix, unless you want to try stuff like hypnotherapy and such. You’ll be working at this the rest of your life, I t’s important you come to terms with that.
Trust can be rebuilt but I’m sure it will take time, let it. Rome was not built in a day.
You said it ruined past relationships how?
Does it ruin your sex life with your fiancé?
Does it ruin sex with her? She just doesn’t want to have sex because she feels that I compared her to girls on the internet which made her feel inadequate or like she couldn’t compete. I’ve tried to tell her I never compared her to any other female and that she is beautiful and attractive. But nothing seems to help in that area
That’s a typical feeling for a lot of women to have. I would suggest focusing not only on making her feel like she is those things but also focusing on acknowledging yourself (if you have not already) and letting her know you feel this way (if you do) those women, those videos and things they do are not real. It’s fake like a movie or tv show.
Those women that do that sort of stuff are very fake and unrealistic. It’s important for you to know that and for her to understand you know that.
It would be like if she watches a movie like vampire stuff or like those 50 shades movies, is she expecting you to be like those men? No becuase it’s fake. Just like what you watched was fake, it doesn’t change how you see her.
Remember to stay patient with her. This is much newer to her than it is to you. And she is not inside your head. She most likely feels alone in her battle.
Just some advice.
Thanks for the advice I appreciate it
