addiction

Is it possible for a person to be addicted to another person? I am in the middle of a chaotic relationship that ended with me going to jail. I got in a fight with her son and it ended badly.  The girl friend now ex had no support for me. It was always her kids are right. They can't do wrong and I hated her for that but now after 5 years it's over but I still miss her. What is wrong with me.?
