Aching and tired!!

It's another wet day here in good ole' New Orleans and my body is not letting me forget it!! From my chest to my lower back, it feels like I've been run over by a train!! I was almost in tears while trying to shop for groceries today! I actually shed a few tears after I got to the car...I'm so fed up with this crap!! And it seems to be getting worse...nowadays, my feet are swollen when I awake in the morning..my back and chest hurt as soon as I open my eyes. And oh the fatigue!! I average a good three hours before my energy level bottoms out completely! How am I going to survive this?? I pray to God often to let me just make it thru this..to let me beat this!!
I've been wondering lately, does it get worse over time? Will my pain and fatigue worsen as the years pass? It's tough now...what will it be like for me 5 years down the road? I've tried to have a positive attitude about things but I haven't felt well in over a month! There's been more bad days than good ones lately!! Hopefully, things will get better!!!

I\'m sorry to read that you are feeling bad. I have been going through the same thing. I wonder if it has something to do with the heat. I find that I feel worst when its hot out and it\'s been 115degrees here in Va. I cry alot mostly at night when i\'m sitting up because I hurt to much to sleep.
We can not give up, remember that God never puts more on us then we can handle. I\'m praying for you, that you feel better soon and that your faith will keep you sane. Good luck my sister in Christ...Mikki

So sad to read this from my happy \'every days my birthday girl\'! I loved your positivity and am here to offer support in the hope it returns! It\'s horrible to have all these thoughts frantically running round your head thinking where will this all lead, will it get worse etc. etc.....so DON\'T!!! My best advice to you is to try not to think too deeply into why you have this and the likelihood of a cure or a reprieve from pain...the more you focus on this the worse you will feel. Be assured that there are people working out there to try to solve this for us and hopefully a breakthrough will come one day, but there is no point stressing over this and making yourself worse. We are all unique, you cannot tell how things will progress with you or the next person, the best you can do is accept it and try not to let it take over you. You can do this by trying to remain calm, surround yourself in calmness and calm people. Don\'t bottle your emotions up of you need a good cry then bloody well have one, the release will be worth the loss of energy in the long run! As Jazjes has said the heat does have a tremendous effect on lupus and can cause a flare. Try to stay out of the sun as much as possible, wear a high sunscreen and a hat (sorry I know I am stating the obvious!) . Also I know it\'s sad but I have found that I need to keep myself to myself and have minimal contact with people and the few people I do see all know that if they have any kind of infection or cold they are not to come near me...not always possible when you have children at school I know, am just in the 6th week of a cold!! Try to have warm baths when you can, listen to a meditation CD...it\'s lovely to go off into your own calm sanctuary. Also a trip to your Rheumy would be a good idea, maybe your meds need adjusting or at the very least you could talk your feelings through with him/her. And lastly, is there any way someone can help with your grocery shopping whilst you are having this bad flare or could you shop online? Hope things improve for you real soon my lovely friend! Must rest now, hope you are doing likewise hun :-) Much love and warm hugs Maria xxxx
