Access-A-Ride Strikes Again!

Wednesday, August 13, 2008 – 9:00 A.M. The day and date is the right one today. Someone accurately pointed out that in my journal yesterday; I had used Monday’s instead of Tuesday’s. I think the cause of that was my increasing exhaustion. If you look at things another way, there are so many days in a year, what it one more or less going to matter?   This morning, I am supposed to see my audiologist regarding my hearing aids. Access-A-Ride is already half an hour late getting here. To be quite honest, I hope they don’t get me at all, because I could use some rest.  UPDATE – 3:30 P.M.  Unfortunately, they did get me. When I was finished, I had to wait nearly two hours for them to come take me home. Crap!   The audiologist cleaned my hearing aids as much as she could, but told me that they would need to be sent back to the company that made them for a thorough cleaning. That will happen when they start bothering me again. She also said that her clinic would pay part of the cost.      When my PCP went grocery shopping for me yesterday, she forgot to get me anything for breakfast, so this morning I feasted on one leftover cheese stick from the pizza I had on Sunday. I have one more left as a backup for tomorrow. Ugh!   Dinner tonight is going to consist of a partially cooked chicken thigh, along with left over French cut green beans. I have my fingers crossed, hoping the meal will be warm this time. Dessert plans call for a slice of banana cream pie. It came already made, so I do not think it will be ruined – unless she smashes it all up putting it on the plate.   There is one thing I know for sure – as long as this PCP cooks for me, I won’t have to worry about gaining weight!

Oy...

You had the numerical date right, but not the name of the day yesterday. So it wasn\'t all wrong.

Sorry about the hearing aids. What a system, what are you supposed to do while they\'re out being cleaned???

Hugs and Mojo to you Jim

That was the first question I asked myself about the hearing aids. The answer is that I may have kept the old ones, which still worked - sometimes. Now all I have to do is try to remember where I put them.
