As long as EU rules apply, you have well-defined rights if you book a package holiday and/or linked travel arrangements (LTAs). These include the right to pre-contractual information, the organiser's liability for the proper performance of the travel services included in your package and the right to repatriate you (in case of insolvency).

If you are travelling abroad, your tour operator must provide you with emergency assistance in the event of an unexpected situation affecting your holiday. They must help you find suitable alternative accommodation or flights and, if necessary, arrange to return you home. They must also reimburse you any extra costs incurred as a result of the change.
