Absence

I haven't been on in a while.  I got a severe bacterial infection and my husband found me passed out in the floor (on Wednesday).  I was totally out of it and had no idea what was going on.  Fortunately he got me to the hospital quickly as they said had I been 20 minutes later, I would have died.  My blood pressure was 55/30, pulse 130, temperature 104 and white blood count over the moon.  They admitted me quickly and started me on 2 different antibiotics, where I remained for 5 days.  I remained totally out of it until some time Thursday when my fever started coming down.  This was a real scare and has given me the motivation to treat my body better.  I go to the doc Wednesday and plan to ask for a full physical.  I have no idea where the infection came from.  My husband (fortunately) has not had it.  They said it is one of the hardest to fight and is highly contagious.  I was in isolation at the hospital and every one that came in had to wear gowns, gloves and masks.  Visitors weren't allowed.  When I was strong enough to go out I went and bought a ton of Clorox wipes, even purse sized, and I use them if I have to go out anywhere.  The bacteria is only killed by bleach or hot water and lots of soap, so we're washing out hands constantly.  lol  So glad to be better and hope it's all over.
