"Having "Chronic" Hepatitis C
is a major issue for me in life and in recovery. It is very real in my life and effects how I live to a large extent. I have to be willing to change many things in my life... How I work: How I play: How I rest: What I eat: "WHO" I have in my life: and most importantly, my expectations of myself. In changing these things, I have had to be willing to go through the whole grief process in letting go of my old ways. I have went through the process of denial, anger, bargaining, sadness, and finally acceptance. At the end of everyday I say the "SERENITY PRAYER," which goes like this, "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." I find these words very helpful... If I can change it, I will, no matter how hard! If I can't change it, I will have to learn to try and live with it, however difficult it is...Always Remember that life is a Journey!If you loose your faith, your hopes, and your dreams, then you will have Nothing!!
Sometimes you've just have to keep walking...
Even though you don't know where you are going!!! Sense I don't know what tomorrow may hand me, I live each day as if it were my last! And I have found that life is much better this way!
And well... I just know that everything that has happened has a reason, whether I understand it or not... This Life may be Tough, ... but this gurl is Tougher!
