Hello!

   Im Samantha, 22 Female with UC. I started having symptoms when I was 17/18 going from Graduating Highschool to Collage. I weigh around 100-115 depending on the month (gaining weight with UC is impossiple for me no matter how many hamburgers I eat :)).My symptoms have always been the same everytime I get "Flare":I would get stopped up, then have diarrhea, Blood in stool, Nausea while on the toilet, huge puffy stomach (looked as if i wes prego lol), sharp/cramping stomach pain, fever (flu like symptoms), and now a rash. I have been on: Lilalda, 6-MP, Humira, Prednisone, Supositories, and now tallking to my Dr. about starting remicade. I live on my own with no assistance from family. Health insurance is expensive, working and constantly calling off sick, hospital visits, Dr visits; it all sucks. Ive never had surgrey( Thank the lord! ) and have had 5 colonoscopies. Ive done the whole gluten free stuff and stick to just staying away from my "hot" foods. Humira has been the only medication to completely clear up every symptom but because of insurance issues I cant use the medicine long-term which is why Remi has been suggested. 

  My Current Situation:

I was on humira for two months (Aug.- Sept. 2016) but had to stop because my insurance ended and blah blah. Then towards the end of November 2016 i started to develop a rash. Dr #1 said it was an allergic reaction (Wrong) Dr. #2 said it was chicken pox (Wrong) My Gastro Dr. #3 is sending me to a dermotoligist because she has no clue. (Mind you I go to Cleveland Clinic #1 hospital in the U.S amazing Drs...) She put me on prednisone twice, rash went away then came back two times as worse. Went and got bloodwork done and blood was perfect. Started having stomach pain, now im going in for a CT and stool sample. Currently my only symptom is pain and inflamation and im on 40mg of prednisone for the next four days until the derm see's me. Until then, thanks to prednisone I will have insomnia (I take my Predni at 9am), a fat face, and forever be hungry. While still in pain and nothing I can do to make it go away....
