About friends

My daughter will be back on Sunday after her trip, Al will be back Monday also..
I have friends in here that have been very supporting, kind and made a difference in my life...Kathi trish, hurtandhealing, momoftwosons, and countless others have inspired me to move forward, to stand tall, to dream, to laugh often....I am very thankful for all of you.
Last year one of the first friends Al's introduced me too was this wonderful guy name Glauco Saugebin, and his wife Catherine.  This pair made me laugh, we go to restaurants together and Glauco has this abitily to make everybody laugh, with his witty remarks and cursing at times in portuguese.  I remember last summer we went to a party and this lawyer was talking among the people about the Casey Anthony case and how you need to change the laws in this country, it got to be a very heated and serious discussion.  Now you have to imagine this black, tall guy in a suit-the only one in a suit-using all this lawyer terminology about the result of the case, so he turns to Glauco and asked him:  "What do you think we should do about the laws notifying missing kids?"  And Glauco just said:  "I don't care just kill the b*&%^.  In this belief the guy asked repeated the same question and Glauco repeated himself....until this big guy have to just laugh...The lawyer told him:  "You know Glauco I like you, you are a cool guy".   He has that effect on people.
But the best part is that Glauco is a great pianist, his brazilian touch in jazz, is just as fun and happy as he is.
This is the hard part...yesterday Catherine called me to tell me Glauco is no longer with us.  He had a heart attack and he is gone.   Al is devastated and coming home on Monday for the funeral-he was supposed to stay another week-but Glauco was his best friend.
There are friends that come to your life from childhood, others by marriage or by divorce, there are friends that come to you for months, a year maybe...
Glauco....It was such a pleasure meeting you, laughing with you, listening to the wonderful music you made...
I will never forget you....
Rest in peace

But you will forever treasure the knowing of him - having him share part of your life\'s journey - as you shared part of his! My deepest sympathy to his wife, family and to your Al. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you. Thanks for letting us know.
