A year and a half
I lit a candle for Lisa when I got up this morning and it will burn til I go to bed tonight.
Our beautiful, funny, talented and caring daughter was pronounced dead 18 months ago today. I still get a sick feeling when I think about that horrible day - actually week.
It has been an emotional year and a half and the roller coaster is still rolling. One day or minute up, then next down. And I don't know whether I am coming or going most of the time.
But I am working on getting fit. We walked about 5 - 7 miles this morning. Joe and I are getting ready to do our pilgrimage in Northern Spain in September. It gives us a goal and I am hoping we will have some peace of mind. I know Lisa would be proud of us as she was when we decided to go and teach English in other countries after we retired.
So for the rest of the day, I will try to remember the good times. But I miss her so much it hurts.
I love you forever Lisa.
