A year on

So today is one year on since my grandfather died. i have very mixed feeling about his death. Part of me is sad for the man that was very ill and a loving caring man, a man that helped me with my homework, the other half of me is angry and bitter towards the man that took away my childhood. He raped me of any chance I had of being a happy child. And yes I mean that in both senses of the word.I thought today would be a day for reflection so I got myself dressed and went down to the cemetry. I wanted to visit my grandparents, tell them what I truely thought of them and then go on to visit my daughter.By the time I got to my daugthers graveside I knew something was wrong but I couldn't quite figure out what. As I laid down the flowers it came to me, someone, probably children, have drawn smiley faces all over her headstone. How can people be so cruel? There where tags with 'bob was ere' or whatever the name was I was too upset to read it properly. I complained to the people at the cemetry and they've said they'll get someone to clean it up, although I have to pay for it. Why should I pay for someone's cruel and insensitive graffitti? My baby girl would be 10 now. It made me think about  how she would act if she was here now. Would she be the pretty little girlie girl I've always wanted or would she be a tom boy? Would she be so insensitive as to do thatto someone elses grave? What sort of parents do these children have?
