a wonderful day in MAY BLESSED
Sunday just after 6.30am shocked the body and gilly by getting up.quick wash.
quick snack over to Church the French young priest had arrived before me!!
Lovely Mass,I came home and had breakfast and a rest.
Drove over to my friends and the six of us went in one car to the Shrine at New Brighton
the other side of the famous MERSEY.through a tunnel.yes well,anyway we got there.
there was a stunning statue ofOUR BLESSED LADY,a traditional cermony of taking flowers and laying them at the feet of the statue,incense and flowers what a scentation!!
We all processed out into the wonderful sunshine with hymns flowers and beauty
a public walk,the gentle sound of the timeless Rosary to a little mound shadowed by
tall green trees,just stunning.a talk by a visiting priest.
then a picnic and while we were relaxing the priests were hearing confessions in the open air.then another talk by a priest who knew FATIMa and the story and the sister of Sr LUCIA( one of the visionaries) processed by to Church for BENEDICTION
I have never seen a monstrance as big the size of the priest it had to be raised up on a moving platform,awesome.I wish I knew how to put pictures up here!!
Finally we all received the beautiful Blessing,on the way homw we stopped for a few
minutes and watched the waves of the sea cast white foam spray against the walls
We were all tired I am shattered,I would not have missed such an INSPIRING day xxx
