A wild, winter day, blizzard of 2026. We're doing ok. we recieved about 20 inches of snow here.
Hi angel friends, my family, Holly, and i hope everyone is doing well, healthy, keeping warm, and enjoying a nice day :)We hope and pray, that everyone is doing ok, and made it thru the blizzard. we're all doing ok here, and keeping warm :)We recieved about 20 inches of snowfall here from the blizzard, there's tons and tons of snow out there. Thank you angel friends, for your warm well wishes, for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers, and for checking in on us all :)We appreciate you all very much :) the snow has thankfully eased. there's huge snow drifts all around.we're beginning to dig out, from the blizzard. my dad made some good paths in our front yard, leading to our drive way. he used the snow blower. we've also been sweeping some snow, and clearing our front steps, and back steps. the winds have remained fierce here, some huge windgusts here as the day's been going on. the sounds of the trees roaring from the winds, is wild! We're very thankful, our power has remained on throughout the day. There is a powerline connected to 2 telephone poles, that is dangling a bit lower, it could be from the weight of the snow. the public utilities will definitely need to take care of it. our nature friends are doing ok, we saw lots of birds enjoying the suet in our front yard. :) Holly and i made some hot chocolate earlier :) it was a nice treat :) We've been keeping updated with family, friends, checking in on everyone :) it's been a very wintery day, and snowfall totals continuing to come in with the latest weather reports. Schools are going to be closed again tomorrow. We're all settling into the evening, keeping warm :)
i went outside this late afternoon, and took some pictures of the snowfall, it's wild, the huge mounds of snow all around, especially the snow drifts. We're so thankful we're stocked up, and ready just incase of any power outages. We're hopeful the power will remain on, and wishing everyone continued warmth and safety thru these wintery days. We've been hanging out today, and tuning into our local news, weather updates, and snowy scenes all around our state and new england, northeast. tomorrow, i'm going to enjoy some more writing time :) We're very thankful the snow has eased, and that we're digging out slowly, from the blizzard. We look forward to getting a good night's sleep tonight, and sweet treats tuesday tomorrow :) Holly looked up some crochet patterns :) i've been browsing collectibles a bit :) Holly and i put our favorite sports radio on today, the whole radio teams have been together today, for the 2 shows we listen too. :) it's been great tuning in :) There's lots more great things to look forward too :) Thank you angel friends, for always being here for us :) We love you all bunches and bunches :) Sending our love, our most warmest caring happy friendship hugs, and our best well wishes, from our hearts, and home to yours :) Wishing everyone a peaceful evening and night :)

I see your dad's snow blower....we had a snow blower at my parents house for a while and it ended up broken....I bought one where I lived before here but I sold it because it was meant to be used at my Mom's house and she decided to go into assisted living and we sold her big house with a long driveway.....I did not need it for my house in the city that I rented and I still do not need it for this house that I own...I do have a driveway but the driveway has a freaking 8ft ramp up about 2 1/2 feet or more and my car can only go up that if it is not slippery....so when we expect snow I park on the street....I only really will shovel if absolutely needed for people like mailman to come down the street and up my few steps to the mailbox....I will also shovel snow to the back gate so I can get it open to take trash out to the alley dumpster....but I do not shovel the driveway...just wait till it melts.....
both of the snow blowers I used were self propelled....and the one I bought new also was what is called a two stage so that means it had the auger that pulled the snow up and a blower inside the shut to shoot the snow far away from the snow blower....being self propelled was the simple way....no pushing just guiding it as it barreled along the driveway at Moms house....
That is a lot of snow! We have had a real Canadian winter here in Central Ontario. It started in November & and never stopped. We are going into another deep freeze.
I pray your power remains on. Stay safe. Hugs!
Keep the critters fed!!! I don't have many birds but lots of squirrels.
Just checking in to see how you’ve been faring with this weather and blizzard. Take good care and lots of hot chocolates for you ☺️ xx
glad you are okay
You guys got the worst of it but here in Maine, we only got a couple of inches. That's very unusual.. How long did it take your dad to snowblow all that snow?
So glad that you, Holly, and your family are doing OK in the wintry weather! I hope your power remains on. We only received snow showers here. Thanks for keeping us updated! Love and hugs.
