a visit from a friend
Today I had a friend come over for a visit who I hadn't seen in the longest of times.
She has experienced several miscarriages, the birth of her premature baby who didn't make it and two successful pregnancies. It was fantastic being able to talk to her, she totally understood where I was coming from and was able to speak to me from the perspective of someone who has been there and could completely relate to my pain.
I have to admit today I gain just a little peace and rekindled a friendship that I know will last a lifetime.

I know what you mean. I too have become closer with a few people because of this experience. Because we share the same pain. I have also met some wonderful new people because of it, you two ladies among them :)
