A Very Good Day

I was going to say a great day, but did not want to go to extremes so soon that another day may just be fair. At any rate, I did get to bed late and decided I would make it a point to sleep in. Did some texting to one I have been receiving from but while recouping I did step back. he was delighted and we did message back and forth for a bit.

I dressed and got ready to go to the pharmacy for a script the dr said I could take if I needed to (as it turns out the other things I have are doing quite well for me without it)  I needed a few things , to get out and get some fresh air and gas... so I started on my way.   My neighbiors were chatting at the end of the driveway and when I said hello and joked of not running them over they asked about what happened at the house (saw the work trucks coming in and out with the water heater deal) We must have yacked for a good 10 minutes or so, by the time I left it was too late for the pharmacy as they had shorter hours and were just far enough away that I would have arrived as they closed.

So I adjusted my plans and went to Walmart which is just a few minutes away. I decided to take my time and venture a bit... needing new burner covers and in search of a pair of black jeans for work. I have noit really worn jeans forever except a pair of spandex ones which have a stretch waist. (They are quite comfy when first washed, but as the day goes on they are too relaxed and I spend time pulling and readjusting things. haha) I did find a pair of real jeans which are sizes smaller than the last I bought some time back and am quite anxious to pour myself into them.

  While shopping I did chat with another woman  (about my age) and we were chatting away for quite some time. Another our same age came through and did join right in.   Then while lucking out and finding a young girl put very briefly at another line that noone saw, I overheard her talking to the woman before and mentioning her birthday on Monday.  We did chat and I heard her plans for her 17th birthday and wished her the very best.  I stopped and got gas on my way home and am happily preoccupied as I will be able to pick up my new car on Tuesday after work. (Tomorrow  will be too hard of a day as first full day back for a full days work and on my feet. )  Just getting back out and enjoy some air and sunshine and winding up doing what I do love to do-- talk and share with others did give such an incredible lift to my day. 5 opportunities all gladly taken by others and myself.

Tomorrow I will still stay safe at home. I think of how I could have ironically gotten covid on my first trip back to church, But to a church I did enjoy very much  and would like to be a part of. They have services online (and fb) so I can watch if I like. I did also get a letter or two from them that I have yet to open. I asked for more information and they wanted to welcome me.  For a minute I did think perhaps I should steer clear, but then it occured to me.Others there did not fear this dread disease. That first day I went I did not give it a thought, went and spent time with neighbors and did enjoy the music and fellowship.   Truthfully I did not give in to all the fear so many have drilled into their brains. I thought as many others, if I get it, I will let it run its course and deal with it and that is what I did. I was fortunate and did not have a severe case (to my mind anyway)

I will be returning to church next week... and do have several appts I had to reschedule. I am also making a delayed birthday celebration with my great nephew since his party was today hopefully one day this coming week. I will be stepping back into the world again. Hallelujiah!!!

I hope you all are having as good of a day as I have.  Hugs. Kim

So pleased to hear that you are doing well. The world needs more people like you in it! Glad you're sticking around. XOXO My sister and brother in law had Covid and were in and out of the ER and very sick. I was so worried about you and again am so pleased that you are doing well.

Well, it would seem I do still have a bit of the dizzy old blonde in me (or can I still put a bit of the blame on my recent confusion from my illness? lol) I woke and finally crawled out of bed and mixed my instant breakfast. As I drink it down, I have my phone to send a few good mornings and read overnight messages from so far away, when I realize my clock says it is but 9 am. So I get situated to watch the church service. Several minutes later, I see my laptop says an hour later.

I then realize I never set ahead my clocks so I did miss the first service. I have things to get done today so I may try to watch later, but I may just give my own thanks today as I go about my day. I do still hope to get back there next week. So I will take a few minutes now to say my good mornings and send well wishes to all here as well as those who do send regards every day.

Happy Sunday to all.

It is always inspirational to see someone enjoying their life.

You mentioned fear and it seems that those who fear covid the most, are the ones who seem to get it. The reason for that might be that fear depresses the immune system rendering it not capable of disposing of the threat inside the body because it is saving energy to deal with the threat outside the body (fear) I saw Dr Bruce Lipton video about it. It made perfect sense to me and that was why I stopped watching fear mongering tv news channels.

I wish we could just keep the same time, all the time. I also forget to set my clock ahead or back.

~~~Cheers~~~
glad you're feeling better. I have been having similar experiences with chatting with random people. Spring fever multiplied by a year of isolating.
Thank you all. J I think you are right.... spring fever as well as all this forced isolation , but it still cannot stop us. To me it is just multiplying those small joys we so easily take for granted.
Bob I thought the same as you... the fear does wear down resistance, but I did get it anyway. My thinking is that for me and my very big mouth I may shout from the rooftops it is not necessarily a death sentence. (I do pray for those who were hit harder than me as well as their loved ones. But there is a reason for everything. )
Here is to another good day tomorrow.
