A very bad day

We came to Ottawa to celebrate the twins' birthday  which is tomorrow.  This morning, we came to Cevyn's house to walk the bus stop.  David was living with Cevyn but due to drug use, she had asked him to leave.  Cevyn had a doctor's appointment and we were going to drive her.  Her dad came bursting in saying that he had to go and see her step brother as he had gotten a text.  Her step brother had depression and had talked of suicide but assured everyone that he couldn't actually do it because it would hurt folks.  Well today, on Remembrance Day, he did it.  We thought his car was in the driveway because he wouldn't be working today.  He texted 2 friends to tell them, and one texted Cevyn's dad who came in and ran upstairs.  I followed.  He had taken drugs and then used the belt from his dressing gown to hang himself in the closet.  Harvey lifted him while I untied the belt.  We did CPR until the EMS and police arrived.  

Needless to say, it is a very bad day.
