A Vacation and the Hospital....again!

Well...finally tomorrow I leave for my much awaited trip to Ohio to see my mama!  I'm very excited, and not really that nervous about flying alone.  I figure, if anything happens it's a short plane trip there so I should be just fine (except of course for my medication schedule....those darn diuretics are my first dose of the day so I best not drink too much on my 2 hour layover LOL). I found out also that I have to go back to Walter Reed at the end of August.  I had an MRI done in the beginning of June and it turns out there is a "questionable spot" on it....that makes me very nervous.  This happened to me last year, before I was diagnosed with end-stage.  I was in New England living with my papa and a scan was done, a spot showed up....a biopsy was scheduled....then another scan and that one came up clean so no biopsy was needed.  The nurse at Walter Reed has told me that most times these "spots" (or nodules she said they are called also) turn out to be nothing.  And even if it is, it's very small....about 2 cm.  That doesn't seem very small to me, but I have trusted the docs at Walter Reed so far and they have not done me wrong.  The worst part is waiting.  I guess I could say that I'm also terrified of a biopsy and I am, but I'm more terrified of what it may say (if it's needed at all).  Right now I'm so tired of going back and forth to D.C. and my husband just has such a casual attitude about it.  He says if it were him he wouldn't be worried at all....he'd just wait to see what happened at the end of August.  How does he know what he'd feel?  I get sick of hearing how he would handle this so much better than me.   The only good thing is that we are spending 4 days in D.C.  We are going to get a nice hotel room, and do lots of sightseeing and he says it's an early birthday gift for me...and I think that is wonderful.  So....for the next 2 weeks at my mama's I just have to focus and not think too much about the future (I always do anyway, but what I mean is that I don't want it to ruin my trip).   So...on that note, I'm off to finish packing and to spend some good quality time with my kitty cats because I know they'll miss me soooo much!  My husband will too, but he has work to keep him busy....the poor kitties are used to me being home all day LOL Take care and God bless...
