A transcendental experience WOW

It's been a LONG time since I've experienced anything remotely resembling a "thrill"--let alone a transcendental experience.  When we "transcend", we go above and beyond the ordinary.  There's an element of ecstasy.
You'll be ROFL when you hear what sent two seniors, one 66 and the other 89, into ecstasy.  It was watching Elvis in JAILHOUSE ROCK.  It was such a thorough escape.  So entranced was I that I only ONCE remembered that Elvis was dead, and that he looked like hell by the time he died.
I pushed that ugly thought out of my mind.  All the rest of the time, I nearly swooned.  Best moment? When he sang, YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL.
"You're so young and beautiful...so take these lonely arms of mine and kiss me tenderly...and you shall always be...young and beautiful to me."
At one point I yelled, "HE'S SO SEXY I CAN'T STAND IT!"
Dot was in her 30's when Elvis came on the scene, but I was just reaching puberty.  Therefore, he is even more earthy and visceral for me.
Thanks for allowing me to rant.
