A Tough 9 Months

Hello Friends - Sorry, I've been away for a while.  I have been trying to keep up with everyone's journals and tried to respond on my good days.  Don't let that sound sad...I am writing tonight with great news!  My husband, John was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer in December ...  but just last Thursday his Doctor told us that his PET Scan was Cancer Free.  Yes, the Cancer is gone!   He will, of course be closely monitored for the next 5 years by his two primary cancer doctors (Chemotherapy and Radiation Specialists).  But WOW what a blessing!  His diagnosis came just a week before Rachel's first Angel Date.  Then on Father's Day - 6 months into treatment at this point both Chemo and Radiation - here's a "kicker" we were just hanging out for Father's Day and looking over at Rachel's picture hanging on the wall and there was a "tear" dripping from her right eye.  John took the picture down, it was wet, he asked me to clean it immediately (this stuff really bothers him) - yes, of course, I had to try to take a picture.  I will post it maybe - but the angle is so bad that Rachel's face looks distorted.  Talk about signs though, I think Rachel was there for her Daddy.  And Prayers were answered.   Loving you all my friends,  Laura

Laura, I am just reading this today in January and oh, wow... the picture story with the tear is so amazing and what our children do to get our attention... that Rachel...

Hoping too that your husband continues to be cancer free and would love to hear how things are for you now.

Knowing that you moved through a tender day yesterday and sending an abundance of loving thoughts your way.

Love and hugs, Joanie
