A sick friend

Life sure can suck.  A good friend was on a Mediterranean cruise.   She was climbing up to the acropolis and tripped and fell.  She cracked some ribs and badly twisted her ankle.  She has always had problems with her ankles.  She is in a hospital in Athens.  I spoke to her husband last evening.  She is on oxygen as it is hard for her to breathe deeply and they are concerned about pneumonia.  They are also concerned that she is at risk for a clot in her leg and don't want her to fly.  So she is in until at least the weekend. 
You just have to wonder what is next. 
On the upside, my neighbour Adriana is doing well after the loss of her mother.  We took over a deli tray last evening and we were invited in.  We had a nice time.  I think they needed some distraction.  As Joe said, "I'm happy I can provide some comic relief".  He and Adri's husband had a debate about beliefs.  They both are quite deep thinkers so it was interesting to listen. 
As for me, so far so good.  I go back to work at 10,
