a series of unfortunate events kind of day. car had a blow out.
series of unfortunate events ... started monday night, which is actually tuesday morning. a woman used my driveway to turn around. this happens a lot anyway. she goes to the corner and just sits there. she backs up and backs into my driveway, into my garbage can. she gets out to straighten it and her wheel is by my recycle bin. wth? she says, no harm done, she didn't break it. i got her plate number and i was pissed. my guess is she was drunk of course.
tuesday, j and i went out for lunch at a fish place. the a/c was broken where we went. stayed anyway. hmmm. headed out to get my oil changed and the guy wanted to flush the brake fluid as well. so did that too. then i left to test drive a kia, which i didn't like and received a target card to test drive and a scratch off that didn't win. on the way to pick up cake for k's b'day, the back tire blew. i look at the tires and NONE of them are firestone. i use firestone. i call the place that did the brakes and i'm like, someone switched out my tires and one of them just blew. i was mad.
had to wait for a tow for over an hour because they only have one flat bed. the tire place kept the place open for me. so i paid him an extra ten for the extra hour worked. nice guy, he didn't have to do that etc. got the new tire. got to publix to pick up the cake. its great, but smaller than i remember. i have a thing for expensive cake and every may they have a coupon for $5 off the expensive cakes. i get two coupons, one for k and one for a.
headed to k's with the cake to have cake and champagne for his b-day. i ask him about the cards, and he never received them. i put them directly in his mailbox. he says he noticed his mailbox is open a lot lately. still don't know what is what with that. never got over to see the mom cat, but k is taking care of it. he mentions that c is back AND part of the ceiling caved in where the a/c was leaking and fell on the new cabinets that are against the wall in the living room, waiting to be hung. grrrrr.
made it back to my house and the douchebag woman that still walks up and down the main road here, wakes me up with her loud voice about an hour after i fall asleep. grrrrrr.

*hugs* When are they going to do something with that woman? She has no right to be there causing a fuss in the middle of the night. Sorry about the tires, but glad that you had a good employee to help you out!
true. was really surprised he stayed after hours, a lifesaver! a friend of mine also helped and two friends of her\'s, but we couldn\'t change the tire without opening the trunk and i can\'t do that until i\'m ready to get a car. what a mess. it all worked out though. the day cost me over a hundred dollars. would love to know where all my tires went. someone out there is enjoying firestone.
