A sad day
My boyfriend and I were out for a drink with our close friend Si today. We were just settling the bill and about to head off to the cinema when Si's phone rang. As soon as it rang i got a knotted kind of feeling in my stomach and I just knew that something bad was going to happen.
Si's dad was on the phone and he proceeded to tell Si his grandma had just died. It was completely out of the blue as she was in perfect health. Si was beside himself, we said what little we could to comfort him and my boyfriend drove him to his grandmothers house. When we arrived at the scene three ambulances were there. The doors of one of the ambulances was open and you could clearly see the body inside and that the paramedics had been working on it until quite recently. I can only describe it as horrific. It has really shaken me.
God knows what Si and his family must be going through right now. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

OH, Kate! I am so sorry. What an awful thing for you all to experience! Poor Si. Thank God you guys were with him when the call came.
I lost my grandmother by surprise as well. It\'s awful to come upon the scene....it stays with you forever. I have just said a prayer for Si and his friends and family at this very difficult time.
