a's FIFTH year at summer camp and then onto girl scout camp for teens (extra $15)//still sick
this will be a's FIFTH summer at camp. yay! and here i am doing what i do every year. registering at the last minute and looking at other camps (most of which are all around $500 per week this year) too much - the one she likes is $400 and the girl scout camps are $325, which is a first, all the other years the girl scouts charged MORE than most camps. ELK'S youth camp is only $180 per week. except the elk's is only for children TO age 13. so for someone else what a deal! and its all new facilities.
i had this grand idea that i would sign her up for the one she always goes to and then surprise her with a week somewhere else to start her teens. the one that she likes is very limited on sessions last year and this year. so will run it passed.
for some reason girl scout camps are cheaper than her private camp this year. all the other years girl scouts was more money. and girl scouts has leadership training for teens. if they aren't a girl scout you pay $15 extra and that makes them a girl scout for the year. so even cheaper than elk's which is an additional $65 to become an elk and then sign them up. last year one of the guys sent his girlfriend's daughter to two of the camps, two years in a row. kids always need that, it gives them independence and the living with others dynamic, way before college.
i'm still sick. kind of annoyed at the moment because getting through these web sites makes me sit and CURSE at the computer. lol.
discovered the "fix it" ticket in our county costs over $100 no matter what you do, (they changed the policy, its not half off anymore...its also not free, so if your headlight or tail light goes out while you drive, they can charge you $100. its time to move to a different county (or state) they are a bunch of parasites over here. could they be more pathetic, they live off of car tickets....oh wait more pathetic would be louisiana which is now a slave state because they have "for-profit" prisons, so SEVEN TIMES as many people get incarcerated in louisiana compared to other states. time to just shut down the entire judicial system. it doesn't work. usa you are a worldwide laughing stock and have become a "police state" in the passed 30 years. shame on you.
ten years ago the same ticket was $40 which was bad enough, and now its $100, tickets have doubled in ten years? wtf? aren't they ashamed of themselves? gluttony and greed, that is all that is.
i have the name of the cop/sheriff that gave me the ticket, he is stalking. he admitted he is stalking. he says to me, its me again. i think to myself, you have nothing better to do. he says if i confess to not wearing a seatbelt (i was wearing one) i won't give you a ticket, but if you don't confess, then i will give you a ticket. how does he live with himself. i should have recorded him. i said it to j, and he says this is another reason to move. he blames the lack of education in this area for EVERYTHING. are cops and sherriff's required to have a 2 year college degree around here? maybe they aren't. who knows.
i had to stop listening to joshua radin's lovely tonight song, its so melancholy that its depressing. even though with full instrumentals its beautiful.
morris' eye is screwed up again. so i guess he is going to have to go to the vet. really feel like hell, though its slowly improving, i'm definitely not able to just rebound from this.

I went to the Salvation Army summer camp and loved it! It was nice to be away from home and the worry about abuse. I don\'t know how much it cost, but it was fun. I hope you can find a way to send her somewhere.
we send her every year. she goes to a christian based camp. i only found the elk\'s one last year, but it was age restricted. she could have gone there for TWO weeks for the same price the private one costs for one week.
this year its odd, because girl scout camps are cheaper and all the other years, they were over a hundred more. i read an article on overnight camps and it says if they don\'t go for two weeks, its useless because they can\'t forge friendships in one week. so last year my goal was to send her for two weeks. it didn\'t happen though. she likes where she goes and didn\'t want to go to the elk\'s. it looked really pretty though.
the new york times did an article on overnight camp, the good and the bad. \"9 in 10 said camp made them feel good about themselves. Parents and campers alike report that children show significant growth in self-esteem, independence, leadership and friendship. They learned to explore, to be adventurous, to become environmentally aware.\"
