A roof for Sammycat

I finally will have a roof for my cat Sammy.  This past Sun was my breaking point. Joe invited friends to the house, got drunk and proceeded to drive drunk to the bar putting his friend in danger.  Me and his friend were in the house and did not see them leave.

After they came home, I yelled at him and told him he didnt keep his promise about drinking and driving and blamed his friend. I reminded him that his friend is a recovering alcoholic with a prior DUI and that he was putting his friends life in danger.  I then told him I needed to move out, removed him  from my car insurance.  I signed a lease today and will be out tommorow.  Roomie is having me stay at the house to catset Lefty too while he is out of town.  My move in date is July 4, Independence Day which will have a whole new meaning for me.  Joe needs to help himself...I can't save him. It breaks my heart. This is either going to help him or hurt him but the choice is his.  I also told my counselor tonight that I want to avoid intimate relationships for a year and just focus on myself.  I've got to retweek my budget to include the additional rental expense.  If I can afford to take care of someone else, then I can afford to take care of myself.  I'm starting from scratch in a tiny studio and will acquire only what I need to function as time moves on.  It's scary as hell but, I'd regret if I never tried.
