A quick smiley Monday
We are back home now. Cevyn was beautiful in her prom dress. She is now a bona fide high school graduate!
I was dreading going to Ottawa but everything turned as good or better than I had hoped.
Cevyn's dad and I seem to have come to a truce. I will never quite forgive him for some things but I am no longer angry. I think Cevyn is relieved that we are getting along.
I am so glad I stayed with Lisa's friend Nancy. She is going through some stressful times at work and is still mourning the loss of her husband a year ago. We did cry a lot. She said that she felt almost worse when Lisa died as she was so much younger than Bill. Either way, we understood one another.
We also had fun on floaties on the lake. We looked a bit like beached whales but it was fun.
The coolest thing was yesterday morning. I was sitting under a tree by the lake. I heard loons in a distance and they got closer and closer and were VERY noisy. Lisa flew by to say hi!
An aside - both Joe and I got pooed on by birds - on the same day no less. I have a feeling Lisa was laughing.

Glad you are home safely and BIG congrats to Cevyn. I am sure a \"truce\" of whatever sort is better for everyone, especially Cevyn. I am happy that you enjoyed your stay with Nancy and found some peace together, even through tears. I bet you were both beautiful on your floaties! I won\'t even wear anything that remotely shows my \"stick\" body (and I don\'t want to hear it about how lucky I am to be a \"stick\"). When you have something to show off, you can and should LOL. So neat about the loon, thanks Lisa for showing Mom and Dad how happy you were there for Cevyn!
Sorry about being pooed on....Well, not really LOL. I get pooed and peed on a lot at work AHAHAH. Happy Canada Day today to you my sweet friend!

Marlene,. I bet Cevyn was lovely and amazing. You and her dad finding a way to get past some things can only be good for Cevyn. You are all surrounding her with love as is Lisa.
Of course Lisa was with all of you and clearly having a bit of fun with you as well! Your time with Nancy was, I am sure, healing and meaningful for both of you.

Good grief Poop ! LOL We must laugh it is so good for the soul. Chevyn must be proud not only graduating but the truce will go a long way with her. Now what is she going to do ? I do feel everyone\'s children and grandies have grown up on line through us.
