A question of control?

It is indeed darkest before the dawn. I met with someone last evening and I was put in a role of having the answers, a role that I definitely don't play often at all!!!  He was a very successful business man and almost made me feel completely insecure.  But he had a struggle that was common with me, sex addiction.  Here is a man 68 years old and now for the first time working on it!  I began when I was 25/26 and it's been a constant road of failure, BUT I am making progress!  I almost have a week and I'm happy/grateful for that indeed.  I don't understand God, can he really be defined by a book (the Bible) perhaps?  I think so.  He is good.
