A Positive Update

Well I saw my rheumy on Monday.  It's been abt 5 wks since he put me on prednisone.  I jokingly asked if I could go off all the prednisone & methotrexate.  He just looked & laughed but did reduce the prednisone from 25 mg to 15.  I could live with that.   Then in one month we'll reduce it to 10 then one more month to 5 then off completely.   Alas the methotrexate will hang around for a while but it won't be for long if I've got anything to say abt it, which of course I do, so there, LOL LOL.
I did ask the dr why I didn't put any weight on this time with the prednisone cause I sure did yrs ago.  He felt that maybe the dosage this time was small enough that for my metabolism it just really didn't upset the apple cart.   Either way - good thing.
But overall he was pleased that I seem to be stabilizing quite fast.  I do know in my heart that my alternative health treatments are a major player in this.  My new reflexologist is a very unbelievable lady.  I've also done alot of reshaping of my lifestyle & abt 80% of the time stick to the plan.  We all know that little bumps in the road happen but I don't let it happen too much.
One little event.  My hubby has somehow got a touch of pneumonia.  It's strange that it appeared to happen just, wham, in the blink of an eye.  I'm thinking it must of been starting a bit & something just caused it to bloom.  It's always a bit more worrisome when the person has COPD but he was put on antibiotics right away.  This is day 2 & he's already starting to feel some improvement.  Still feels pretty rundown though.  Does anyone know - can you catch pneumonia like you can a cold say from person to person????  Just really puzzled abt it somehow.
So I guess thats abt it.  Just thought I'd better post an update
