a plan is made
Today we made a plan of attack. Steve will go Friday for another CT without the contrast. He will be marked or tatooed as the dr. called it. He is a very friendly man with a great personalty and looked a little like Dookie Houser. His staff told us that he is very smart and they sometimes just listen to him as they learn a great deal by listening.
He took Steve back and we looked at the machine that will do its best to kill this particular monster. We were told it is one of a kind in the southeast. A forty million dollar machine!!! Steve said he thought he would be fine, not too close on him! It never actually touches his body and is open. Thank God for cancer research.
One of the things we asked him the cure rate. He said that first of all it was not a cure, but had a 60% rate of killing the tumor. We are grateful for that and will go forward.
I feel better after this visit and so does Steve. I have just given this to God and will try my best to not worry.
By the way he told me to quit reading medical journals on the internet. hehe Just as some of you have told me, I will just trust God to get us thru this!
Just a little humor, I asked Steve to fix us a cup of coffee to sip on as we drove. It was completely dark when we left. We both had on our Carolina Tar Heel sweatshirts.
As we drove along and it became light and I looked at Steve and he looked over at me. He had not put the lid on straight and we BOTH had coffee spilled all the way down our sweatshirts. We had a good laugh and thought we would stop and get a tee shirt somewhere but did not have time! So we marched in and explained ourselves. We both looked like we had been chewing tobacco and dribbled juice on ourselves! Not a good first impression!
Thank you EVERYONE for your prayers. You are a very special group of friends.
Prayers and Hugs for each of you.
