A painting, a song, & the TRO....

Saying goodbye to Jan and aloha to Feb....
I have been painting again lately. Last time I painted was about 3 yrs ago when I painted the sunset on the door (see photos). It's thanks to my husband getting me art supplies for Christmas (I think he asked my mom what to get when she was visiting lol). I did a cat painting I thought I'd send to mom to cheer her up for her surgery. And yesterday painted an ocean scene with colors of blues, greens, and violet, called "Violet Skies". I already have plans for the next couple of paintings.
I also wrote a song (my 2nd one ever!) and this time it was much easier putting music to it than the 1st one. It's about the beauty of Hawaii and how my husband and I fell in love and got married. It's called "Oh My Hawaii". Sang it to hubby when he came home last night and he was tickled because he thought the whole song was about him. LOL
Speaking of my mom's surgery.... there's been a snag. She was in the ER the other night for a 5 day migraine, jaw & facial pain. They ran all kinds of tests on her and came to the suspicion that her arteries may be inflamed (not plaque, btw). So they put her on high prednisone and discharged her to an (eye?) doctor to run further testing. The doctor had to confirm if she in fact has inflammation of the arteries, if she does she will need to stay on prednisone for at least a month which will delay her surgery (probably till April, they said). Anyway, the eye doctor (i"m not sure if it's an eye doc or some kind of facial doc) did a biopsy of her artery and we are waiting for results.
In other news.... my youngest brother dropped the TRO on his wife, against everyone's advice. He thought dropping the TRO would help her or the child or something (not sure what he was talking about) but then as soon as he dropped it he realized he was an idiot. So the plan is to let her move back in but on the condition that she goes to therapy pretty much full time. I'm guessing that means 5 days a week. But if you ask me, I don't think it will "fix" her. He told me he's also putting cameras all over the house in case she "tries anything again". I told my baby brother if you need to put cameras up because you don't feel safe around your own spouse then you need to divorce that person, the marriage is over. SMH. Anyway, I think he is making a big big mistake.
Also in other news.... my SSD review forms we due on the 23rd which were completely stressing me out. But SSA called and gave me till Feb 12 to turn them in so I'm feeling much better now.
Hope everyone has a blessed week!
